I am a page full of legal jargon here to help protect Moonlight Mantids LLC. Terms of Use and Privacy Policy clauses define the conditions which one must accept in order to use this website. Once our site user reads this page, he or she automatically agrees to the policies laid out therein. If you do not agree with these policies, you should not use this site.

Serpentarium Surplus and Moonlight Mantids LLC dose track regular customer information that is offerd during purchases but we do not store them in a privite system, we DO NOT share customer Information. standard Privacy Rights apply

Terms and Conditions
 

All customers are subject to our terms and conditions:

 

Must be 18 years or older to order or have parent or guardians permission, we are not liable for fraud and will not give any refunds.

 

Special circumstances:

 

In order to qualify for live guarantee you must have your parcel shipped overnight and you must pay for a heat pack and insulated box, if you do not we will not guarantee anything.  In case of DOA (dead on arrival) you have 6 hours to contact us to place a claim; if you wish to be subject to live animal guarantee then you will have to have someone sign for your parcel, all orders are automatically released so you must request to have a signature requirement.  On too many occasions we have had parcels sit on someone's porch because nobody was home, as a result the contents perished.  Then they expected us to fix it, Sorry No.  We do not under any condition offer refunds of any kind, you may only receive credit for an item(s) of equal or lesser value, this does not include taxes, shipping, or additional service options.  This may not apply if the weather in your area is unfit; it is your responsibility to coordinate for the arrival of your (live) parcel in your area.  We will also disregard any DOA claims From Nov 1st-Mar 30th although we may still ship (at your risk).  If for some reason mantids previously ordered run out of stock we will send substations of equal or greater value, unless we give you other options, this only applies to orders that have multiple specimens.  If the mantis you ordered is unaccompanied by other products and becomes unavailable then we will ask for an alternative or refund your money.  We do not guarantee feeders whatever. 

 

Hurt or sick animals:

 

Some animals don't take shipping well and need to be warmed and hydrated immediately after arrival.  This is rare but if it dies, we will assume that your inexperience is to blame for its negligent post shipping recovery care.  We do not send animals if they are missing any limbs or cannot function properly; we take extra precautions to send only grade (A) inspected animals. This is why we do not ship any mantids together; we are preventing damage or death to your insects.

 

Molted in transit (MIT), this happens on occasion and we try our best to avoid a miss molt during transit, but if we cleared it for shipping we will help. This is just a part of the trade and no one is immune to this, mantids shed when they are ready.  So if you send us a picture 6 hours after the arrival of the miss molted mantis, then we will give credit for it as a curtsey to our customers.  We want you to enjoy these animals as much as we do.  If the mantis is simply deformed or missing a limb, we will have to consider its probable survival or death. 

Missing or broken items will be replaced if you pay shipping, otherwise refunded.  Within 3 days

There are times when I have had customers cause a lot of issues because they were impatient... I need you to agree that you will allow me to do what's best for your insects and trust that I will get them to you alive, without complaint!  If shipping is delayed you will have to bare through it... I'm a reasonable guy and I will do all I can to provide the best service.

 

Shipping Schedule

All Orders Ship Monday-Wednesday, to avoid DOA during travel.

 

Shipping Delays may include as follows:

 

  1. If an animal is about to molt or shed, it will not leave until it does plus two days to recover.

  2. Some mantids may be presold (back ordered) they will not ship until L2 stage.

  3. Unacceptable weather conditions or temperature in either location

  4. Large volume of customer orders (first come first serve)

  5. Holidays

 

If you decide you do not want to wait anymore, you will be charged room and board for animals that would have been sold otherwise.  A 20% charge not including shipping or tax will be deducted from your refund.  You will also be banned for life from reorder.  I will add that you will be refunded with the deduction of 20% if you send excessive emails and decide to cause problems for us (We simply don’t have time to waste on impatient and insubordinate people) If by chance you ignore any of these terms and conditions we reserve the right to refuse service at any time.  In this situation money will be refunded within (7) days.  We are not responsible for this hold.

 

Environmental Concerns:

 

Do NOT under any circumstances release non-native animals outside EVER!  Once animals are in your possession they are your sole responsibility and we are not liable.

 

Conclusion:

Although we reserve these rights in order to do business with us, we rarely ever apply them.  I am a reasonable person and I will always cut good honest people a break or if I sympathize I may reship on my own if I deem fit.  (This is no guarantee) Why are we so hard and stricked in our polices?  You may thank the customers before you that have spent a great deal of time ruining the experiences of supplying mantids.

 

If you do not like our terms and conditions you may simply shop elsewhere, if you purchase anything from us you automatically agree to all terms and conditions no exceptions.

 

We also reserve the right to send free extras without your knowledge
