Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is a finely milled, all-natural powder made from fossilized algae (diatoms). It’s perfect for use around invertebrate and reptile setups to help control mites, pests, and excess moisture — without the use of chemicals or harsh additives.
 
When small pests like mites, fungus gnats, or other soft-bodied insects come into contact with DE, the fine particles:
Attach to the insect’s exoskeleton, absorbing oils and waxy coatings that protect against dehydration.
Cause the insect to lose moisture, leading to natural dehydration and death within 24–48 hours.
